Details

An Arctic ridge of high pressure over BC northern interior is producing strong northeasterly outflow winds of 70 to 90 km/h through mainland valleys and inlets of the north and central coasts. Meanwhile the strong winds in combination with the cold temperatures over the inland sections of the north coast are giving wind chill values of near minus 20 degrees to the region. The strong outflow winds and cold wind chill are expected to ease Wednesday morning as the Arctic ridge of high pressure weakens.
